Otocinclus Cats (Otocinclus Vittatus)

$6.95

Otocinclus catfish, or "Otos," are small, peaceful, herbivorous South American fish popular for algae eating, though they are not recommended for beginner aquarists because they can be sensitive and are prone to starvation in new tanks. They should be kept in groups of four to six or more and need a mature aquarium with a constant supply of biofilm and algae. Supplement their diet with algae wafers and blanched vegetables, and provide clean water with temperatures between 68 and 77
